From The Inside

I've felt dubious about uploading this; the portraiture isn't my best, but I learned a lot in the process of making this, and it was a meaningful piece that I put a great deal of effort into. It was intended as a tribute to Chester Bennington the week after he passed, depicting a character I'd designed based on a Linkin Park song way back in my wee teenage years. I opted for a less rough-hewn paint style for this and smoothed it out more, and that may have contributed to over-tuning the face into a place where it lost dimension a bit.

Learning is life, y'know. And, the passion was what mattered here.
